General Welfare, Health and Human Resources
- The General Welfare, Health and Human Resources committee deals with a wide range of   health care issues from nursing home care to medical regulations. The committee also   oversees children’s issues such as daycare, child support, and adoption.

Government Operations
- The Government Operations Committee has the responsibility of making sure your tax   dollars are spent in the most efficient way possible. This committee reviews all state   departments to ensure they are doing their jobs in the best interests of the people of   Tennessee .
