Herron said: "There’s no issue more important than finding ways to create jobs here in Tennessee. My opponents are spending a lot of time and money arguing over one job — the job they want. We're trying to stop this company from moving 600 jobs out of Tennessee and putting nuclear waste in their place. They'll do that over my dead body. As a citizen legislator, I know what it takes to win these battles. I am committed to doing everything possible to save these jobs, add more jobs and keep nuclear waste out.”
Small-town attorney, businessman and former minister, Roy Herron is running for Congress to bring jobs to Tennessee and restore fiscal responsibility to Washington. As a citizen legislator, Herron has fought predatory lenders and passed laws that are tough on criminals while protecting victims. Herron has written three books, including Tennessee Political Humor and God and Politics: How Can a Christian Be in Politics? He lives in Dresden with his wife of 23 years, Nancy, and their three sons.
