"I am thankful that the President and others in Washington finally are talking about jobs and cutting spending, but hard-working Tennesseans need results, not just rhetoric.

"Citizens need jobs so they can provide for their families, and they want government to do its job and live within its means. I have voted to balance budgets and make the tough budget cuts because, like other Tennesseans, I know we have to live within our means.

"My message to Washington is simple: stop the partisan bickering and get to work."
